My wonderful wife gave me the most amazing gift for Christmas--IT'S TIVO!!! I'm not sure how familiar you are with this wonderful wonder of freedom that releases us all from the timetable of the tube, but let me share...it's MAGNANOMOUS!!! It has a feature that allows the user to program in, not just one episode, but an entire season, including all episodes at any time on any channel. Now, I'll never miss an episode. HOW EXCITING!!!!After getting comfortable with the other basic features of this machine from God, I began the task of setting up the various shows my wife and I watch. One after another, I entered show after show. My joy escalated as I felt the shackles of network television fall from remote. And just as quickly as my bonds were gone, another thought filled my mind, "Holy Cow!!! Could it be true?"
As I gazed at the list of my "have-to-watch" TV shows, I could only admit one thing: I'm a TV junkie. I'm not proud of it. But hey, admitting it is the first step, right?
